Max Egan is the Founder and CEO of Permentum Capital. He has been actively deploying capital in litigation finance since 2013. He was previously a Senior Vice President at Burford Capital where he was in charge of building probabilistic models for each investment. His other responsibilities at Burford included constructing the firm’s financial model, compiling the historical investment track record, as well as originating and underwriting investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Burford, Max was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he initiated $350+ million worth of investments in litigation finance funds and co-investments. Max began his career at NERA Economic Consulting, where he analyzed a wide variety of financial products in the context of securities litigation. Max earned his BS (with College and University honors) in Economics and MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
